I thought it might be a good idea to tell you a little about our company. My father started his first antique wood company in 1968 called West Lincoln Barnboard and Beams LTD. I remember when I was young, maybe 10 or 11, my father and I would go on road trips to Conklin's Authentic Barnwood in Susquehanna PA. My job was to push the boards off the back of the truck so the men could sort them on the ground. It was a lot of work for a young guy, but I got to spend time with my dad, and he paid well, probably because I was his son.

That was the beginning of my involvement with antique lumber. In those days we used to whole sale truck loads of lumber, demolish the barns, take only what we could sell right away and leave or burn the rest.

That never seemed like the right thing to do as it meant huge amounts of waste per barn. Plus, we knew that others were using the lumber for flooring. So, when I got out of school, we started our milling and installation divisions. Things were going well for many years. The business, and our families continued to grow. When my firstborn arrived, my wife and I decided that it was time to move on. I left West Lincoln Barnboards and started doing their installations. Again, this worked well, as it enabled my father to focus on the milling while I focused on the installations. Sadly, my father passed away, and we all had to move on. So here we are, re-starting another antique wood company built around the needs of our customers. We hope that you decide to use us to mill and install your antique flooring, and we'll do everything we can to make your dealings with us a pleasant experience.
